Seems like this could be an interesting build! Definitely interested in how the GPU will look in the build. As for your search, I remember seeing some temperature controlled fans when I was looking online for a case fan.. It's not one box controlling multiple fans, but they could do the same thing? Oh, and *subbed*!
Your first post of a project log must include some images of work being done otherwise a moderator will move it to the 'modding' section. 3D printed parts for a case sounds interesting though.
Hello, The mod is not dead, just behind the controls, I expect sales. Otherwise I'm still in the research phase, I made contact to my laser cutting, drop the price. I turned to 3D printing, and where happiness. So I decided to challenge me on this mod, DO NOT DO THAT ASSEMBLY: 3D full study, 95% of parts made in 3D printing and final assembly. The only changes to be cut and on the housing. Here is a first test of an air diffuser fan Noctua:
Have to agree with Nexxo, it's not a log without actual progress pics. Take a look at the Aquacomputer Poweradjust 2 Ultra. It's tiny and should do exactly what you need it to do. Here is a link to its manual. The product page doesn't do a good job of explaining what it can do. www.aquacomputer.de/handbuecher.htm...ds/manuals/poweradjust_2_english_20130524.pdf
Hello, A little news... I fell on an article presenting a MOD inspired from Mac Pro 2013 using the "Lunar" dustbin for case, but with a very small configuration. Some research later, I discovered an improved version , powerful configuration, compatible Hackintosh. This version with a few followers, so I followed all these worklogs. I decide to make my version, by taking only best installations. The first work, modelled 3D the hardware: Then to make a first installation: To be continued...
Hello, Here are some fresh news of my mod. The final install : The case : Modifcation of the case : Higher cutting Ø125 and on the side for inputs / outputs rear of the motherboard. Disbursement for pasage inside the motherboard. Cut the lid. Changing the fan by removing the fins : Prototyping of hardware installation, small 360° : Coupling case/hardware : The upper air distributor (3D printing) : The base ( 3D printing) : In place : To be continued...
Looks almost exactly like the recent Mac Pro. That's not a bad thing and I think you've used the donor case very well with minimal wastage. Can't wait to see what happens next.
Really good, nice job ! I had similar idea in my mind and tried few configurations on sketchup ... you are much better than me !
Thank you to all. I received and tested my mSATA SSD , too well ... Comparison between a hard disk 3.5 " 320GB SATA / SSD 2.5" 256GB / 256GB mSATA SSD and with adapter : A final test operation of all: To be continued...
After 16 months of research and study, the mod is over.
