Hy @ all this is our entry for the Lian Li PC 7H Contest, i know it´s already close to the deadline...but lets see what we can do with it in the hurry of time.(2 weeks) First the unboxing & disassembling.... after that we started to make the first prototype of the sidepanels... then we started to work on both sidepanels.... and the 2nd sidepanel.... after cutting out the first parts out of the sidepanel....we made the next prototypes ....this time.... a few Fan/Radiator Grills.... as next, we made a grill for the 2nd sidepanel...(maybe we will make the final version a bit smaller than the prototype) then we made a few parts for the front...just to figure out in which combination we?re going to use them later... after that we started to print out the first part which will be used on the front of the case.... beside that we made a few smaller preparations ...like cutting out a few mesh stripes and things like that... (the mesh will be used behind the stark industries logos....) (both stripes will be sanded, so that we get rid of those anodizing...)
thanks a lot m8´s!!! in the last days we continued the work on the case....first we started to sand down the anodizing of the mesh pieces.... then we added a first layer of paint on the printed frame for the front.... then we put it in it´s place, so that we could take a few measurements for the next parts... after getting all the informations we needed, we could print out those "A" Shaped pieces and make a first prototype of a frame for the front.... and last but not least we started to cut out the first frames and grills out of metal...
time for the next update: in the last days we continued to prepare all parts which are needed to continue the work on the outside of the case....
I like that you have 3d printing now, but it seems odd to print a 2.5d part with it. Kinda like buying a Ferrari and driving 30.
hehehe , yeah you´re totally right....buuuut we have it only for a few weeks now (i think 2 or 3) and we are still experimenting with the right settings etc. so we´re just happy that we got it working that far....everything else (like full 3d printing) comes later when we know better what we do and now, it´s time for the next update: yesterday we couldn´t make that much progress as we wanted...so we have a tough programm scheduled for today....but i think we will finish it on time... we already prepared the next metal / plastic pieces which are needed to finish the outside...beside that we already started to prepare the hardware to be moved in...
oo an Eisberg... those things are so damn sexy! looks like that's just the cooler though? great use of the printer mate
thx m8´s!! @Editor22....yes it´s only the cooler/pump/res...but we´re hoping that it will perform well with a good 2x120mm radiator in the loop.... time for the next update: yesterday we prepared all the plexiglas pieces which we need to assemble everything on the case .... we also made the last cuts into the 2nd sidepanel....
thx m8!! time for the last update: (during the contest...i think we will work on a few details later...),,,
There he strikes again. Another quality-mod from thechoosen Could you tell us more about the CM Eisberg? How does it perform?
thx m8! Sure, up to now...we could say that the CM Eisberg is working really good for a cooling solution like this....we couldn´t make any stress tests up to this point but it idles around 30 ° with a 2x120mm Rad attached. We run it with the resistor cable attached so that the pump is running really silent....a little bit louder than a Laing Pump but really not much. I think we will run a few benchmarks in the next days...then i can tell you more about the performance of the Eisberg.... Finally the Voting for the Lian Li Contest has gone Live...and here is a link to it...
0_0 finally a build name stark themed after its name! confusing relief.. Fast log, but good god the best looking yet!
Looks amazing and great theme idea. I never knew the cm eisberg came as just a res/pump block, may have to use one in future projects.
