    Hi guys,

I've managed to pick up a second gtx 580 for a frankly ridiculous price and would like to add it to my current loop, however, I'm pretty sure that a single rx 360 rad is not sufficient enough for a fairly heavily oc'd i5 2500k at 4.8ghz cpu and sli'd gpus both probably oc'd as well.

Now I could add a 140 rad on the exhaust of my haf 932 or I have a slim swiftech 240 knocking about that I could fit in the front 5.25" drive bays.

What in your opinion is going to be required? Could I get away with just the 360 or am I going to need to add more rads?

    Cheers.

ps. before anyone asks I'm getting a proper 27" ips display next month.

Danger Den did a test with a 580 on a single 120 and temps still beat air. I think you're underestimating water.

Deadbeat runs 3 OC's 580's off one RX360, so you'll be fine with that :)

    Cracking, cheers lads.

I'd always been under the assumption that each component should have the equivalent of a thick single 120 rad or more if it's overclocked.

Nah. That's a great guideline, and if you can, do it. But I'm doing 2600K, 470 and motherboard on a single 360 rad for my latest build, and I'm honestly not too fussed about it. I know by now my cooling will be more than sufficient even for overclocking.

Actually I have two RX360's cooling my 580's and 2600k on a single loop. However, IMO a decent 360 rad should be adequate for what the OP requires.

Sorry for the hijack but does this mean i can cool my rig (see sig) with a deep 140mm and skinny 280mm rad?

With an overclock on both the cpu and single gpu I'm getting approximately around the late 50's early 60's under heavy load, it's worth noting that I've been running my fans at about 900rpm.

I'm guessing, and it is a wild guess at that, the temp increase is likely to be in the region of about 10 to 15 degrees or am I about 5 degrees to high?

With both cards installed in serial and after an hour of heaven benchmarks at stock speeds the max temps were 50 degrees on the top card and 43 degrees on the bottom.

The ambient temp is 20 degrees.

I'm surprised and cant help but think something is wrong but the scores have gone from:

    GTX480 i5 750
    FPS: 51.0
    Scores: 1285
    Min FPS: 11.3
    Max FPS: 115.5

    GTX580 i5 2500k
    FPS: 54.3
    Scores: 1367
    Min FPS: 29.9
    Max FPS: 124.6

    GTX580 SLI i5 2500k
    FPS: 104.9
    Scores: 2643
    Min FPS: 54.3
    Max FPS: 235.4

    Same settings for all runs
    Render: direct3d11
    Mode: 1920x1080 fullscreen
    Shaders: high
    Textures: high
    Filter: trilinear
    Anisotropy: 4x
    Occlusion: enabled
    Refraction: enabled
    Volumetric: enabled
    Tessellation: normal

All on the same loop and hardly any noticeable change in temps.
