I guess he means the only place he can call 'his' is going to be just one room, rather than the whole expanse of a house :)

Remember the first 3 months is the hardest you'll ever have to do in Uni. And if you survive the first year you can easily do the rest.

Yup, University College London doing Comp Sci, only 40 miles down the road from home so Im not too bothered and I have that safety net.

I realised the same, Im going self catered, so I have all the cooking bits, and the amount of extra junk I want to keep in there is immense.

I moved to bristol (UWE) last week ... on the last day of freshers week now .. had food poisoning for pretty much the whole week :( but I have recovered now :)
Went to a rave (happy hardcore music) on friday night/saturday morning that was pretty dam good, just come home from the freshers ball which was also pretty good, and now I am surfing the net on a 100mbit line :) :p

I'm in sheffield too so one bit of advice would be find out when the odeons poster giveaway is and get as many posters as you can carry as it will save you tons on decorating your white/magnolia box.

Also make sure you check out corporation it rocks

UCL gots one of the best Unions in London, i was at the Westminister Campus down the road from ur place. your Campus is placed in a really nice location as its smackbang in Central London, but yes places are pricey but obviously there are cheap and small options for food and booze. If you can try and make it down to Kingston Uni's "Works" Student union bar...that places is crazy for cheap booze and often have special nights.

    You live near Kingston atanum?

That is right close to my home town (Wimbledon).

I go out in Kingston all the time, but not to the Works mostly The Mill (Scream Bar) and Oceana.

Also guys, my halls is above a Scream bar and I have a subway sandwich shop next door and a tesco and Nando's opposite!

Oceans is a bit of a Dive compared to other clubs I've been to but seeing there isn't much choice around Wimbledon if you don't want to break the bank, so Oceana is the place to be.

Student nights Wednesday £5 on the door with NUS card.
