Seems kinda cool, but I can't see too many people needing that amount of GDDR.
Personally, if I were in the market for a 7970, I'd save a few quid and get the 3GB.

Obviously weight is the new "thing" when it comes to final decisions in comparisons of GPUs.

Nice spec's but I will stick to my GTX 680 2Gb card, as it does everything I need it to and can overclock to a high speed anyway if required.

I doubt this card will be the fastest gpu for long if it is considering what nvidia are like :D

Nice specs, but a triple slot card? No thanks.

Just what I was thinking - this is pointlessly overkill. It reminds me of back around 2005 when 1GB cards were released and nothing could take advantage of it, although back then 1GB was pretty decent for workstation graphics.

I would much rather get 2 7970 3GBs than this.

For those of us with three 30 inchers this is a must buy, and at such a cheap price I am thinking about getting two.

Wondering what the power plugs needed are, 8+8 id guess.

Do NOT run these on a BT system with an anemic PSU!

    LOL
