August 26th? But that's ages away.

Oh man that's much longer than I thought. I know they delayed it from the March release date but didn't think it would be as far away as this! :(

Still, If it the devs think it's needed to ensure the game is 100% polished then so be it. Rather that than a buggy mess released early.

Yep, August is quite a while away, but I can live with waiting if it means an awesome game at the end of it.

Probably just me, but the guy in the pic reminds me a bit of actor Christopher Lloyd but younger.

Anyway, I can wait a bit longer for a properly finished game. Just hope its worth it.

I've already read the book they released now I'll have to re-read it again to keep me going. I know its frustrating but I'm happy to wait for a polished game.

If this game comes even close to living up to its trailers it's going to be ****ing incredible.
I'm trying really hard not to get my hopes up, but it's difficult.

The setting seems out of sync with the original's timeline but the whole style of it just reeks of Neuromancer, Syndicate (Wars), Snow Crash and other cyberpunk franchises that I've fallen in love with in the past - And the play-by-play previews by RPS and Eurogamer ring positively..

It's so hard not to get hopes up at this stage.

    Edit:
    ----
Also, I was annoyed at first to learn that Alexander Brandon isn't involved in the music this time around, but again if that trailer's music is anything to judge by then this soundtrack could also be fantastic.

I just hope Square Enix do a better job of this than they did with Front Mission Evolved. That game does not deserve to bear the name of such a lofty franchise (but it would be ok, if it didn't).

With the state of Squarenix atm I don't expect anything from this game.

Although I'd love that to be wrong.

Not a problem. I can't handle too much more than a game a month & there's Crysis 2, Portal 2, The Witcher 2 & Dragon Age 2 to play before then.

Must not get excited. Keep expectations low. I've been hurt before.

But that's a properly good trailer. If I was going to get excited, that trailer would probably do the trick.

    Grr.

I know they said it had been delayed, but I only expected a few months.

Oh well, if they need the time to make it a decent game, fair enough -- better that than another generic shooter.

Dammit, this had better not clash with Batman: Arkham City. I'll need another pair of arms if these two come out at the same time.

I think they delayed it because of all the other games coming the next few months.

AFAIK, Squenix are only handling publishing. Everything to do with game development is in other hands.

Tbh, this delay has me worried. First delay was meant to have nothing to do with the game, but purely to do with the time frame and other games doing badly around the same launch window. If that meant the game itself was great, and they were just adding polish, why another delay?

Damn... that's quite far away. Good thing there's enough distractions in between to lead up to it I guess :)
