This football you speak of does it involve fragging other players ?
If so I'll have to download a copy and give it a go. :D

eSports is huge, especially in Asia...not surprised this has happened to be honest...hope it doesn't spiral and discredit the sport...

Still struggling to believe that people actually refer to computer games as a sport. eSports indeed. What nonsense.

Not if they're very skilled professionals playing notoriously difficult multiplayer games. Ditto for everything else from football to chess. You can play them at home but it's fun to watch masters play too. On the other hand, I don't get those kids that watch someone play through an entire single player game while shrieking with laughter at every little event (the player, not the viewers).

On another note, why is eSports and eSports coverage so minimal in the UK? It's huge in East Asia, big in North America and has a presence in the Nordic countries, but it may as well not exist here.

I know. There's actually a "sport" where grown men chase a bag of air around a grass field too. In fact, there are several.

    What ever next, eh?

For your information, a sport is an activity pursued for exercise or pleasure, often (but not exclusively) involving the testing of physical capabilities and taking the form of a competitive game.

Oh, I'm very aware of extreme ironing. It used to be on one of the discovery channels, iirc. :)

For some unknown reason, many things just don't catch on over here.

I love to sit with a cup o' tea and watch eSports on youtube, usually archived Quake Live tournament play... I just love the agility and skill on display. It's riveting!

Probably not. Outside of that no shock this has happened. Look at darts people class it as a sport it's not a physical activity they even want it in Olympics. You won't see video games in that.
