    OK - Have read lots of advice - most does not make sense.

    My HTPC build, which will allow simple gaming and if I want more - then I will add a graphics card, is listed below:

    If you're in Oz have a look at this quad digital tuner card from DigitalNow. It's $199 so should be worth the extra $22 if your signal is good enough.

    For a HTPC that's a lot to spend and probably far more powerful than you'd need for a pure HTPC - you could easily cut back on the SSD, RAM, CPU & even the PSU. It only makes sense if you definitely want to add a discrete GPU later on - otherwise I'd save the cash.
