Hello everyone first post here - I am customising my first PC build, and have started sleeving cables.
I get the basics and can produce sleeved cables, however they lack finesse and details.

One example is my latest work, the first one where I employed heatshrink and heat gun, and IDE power cable:

The problem is that the partially melted DOUBLE paracord sleeve is not regular - when I melted it to make the cable go through it didn't came as a perfect circle, and when the heatshrink shrinks around it makes all these unpleasant, uneven looking shapes.

The fact that the cable is double only adds to the problem - Paracord 550 is probably a bit too thick for single wires.

So, what would you do in order to improve the quality of this sleeving?
