a friend recieved it in 2010 as an rma replacement for his dead evga 8800GT

    GTX 460EE

its started to act up - at stock volts and core speed it bsods and falls over noisily - idle at 70 degree`s even when tpaste is repalced.....

im thinking its on its legs? evga dont want to know as its an rma repalcement allready and they claim to have `lost` the invoice.

Sure heatsink is affixed properly? I'd remove/re-apply to make sure firstly.

Then you are looking at baking it in all honesty, its not like the cooler has somehow failed and isn't transferring heat any more, its pretty damned solid.
