Well I was a 100% Firefox user until a few days ago, when a friend managed to convince me to try out Chrome. Now I love it. It's sleek and fast, and I have no trouble on forums with it. Though if anything happened, I'd always go back to Firefox, which is one brilliant browser.

I've only ever tried Opera once, it didn't stick, and IE is just ghastly to try and use.

Depends what you want it for:

Interwebnets Explorer 8 (7 is a pile of tosh. and 6 is outdated nowadays)

Bog standard compatibility with applications (usually corporate ones).

    Chrome

Lightning fast response time, nice compact browser

    Firefox

Modability - with Firefox there is a plug in for just about everything.

I will add that both Chrome, and Firefox can get IE frame add ons, but as to how good they are I couldn't tell you.

IE8 is fine, apart from on one site, which I use Firefox for.
Also use firefox for anything that needs analysing with LiveHTTPHeaders or FlashGot.

    Also use chrome occasionally.

I voted all 3 - because like my previous post says it depends what you want it for.

Firefox, or tbh, anything that isn't Internet Explorer. IE6 and 7's inability to render anything, ever, is a pain in the buttocks when making websites.

The <!--[if lte IE 7]>><![endif]--> tags help, but it's adding code to get around IE's stupid.

Well up until recently i would have said 100% firefox with IEtabs but now have been using Chrome. No issues with it what so ever.
Its quick, clean and works. I have IE tabs for it aswell for those 'we only work with IE' sites :)

Firefox for now, but I do like Chrome, I will probably switch over once there is an official ad blocker and I do get issues with forums sometimes.

I used Firefox religiously until a few days ago, when I've switched to Chrome.

Apart from lack of Ad-Block :)waah:) and a proper download manager (E.g., DownThemAll for FF) it's superb, much faster than FF.

Firefox, not tried Chrome yet...Firefox's addons are a great way to spend 20 mins and feel really productive...!

Also Google's omnipresence on all things internet piques the interest of the conspiracy theorist deep within me.

    Firefox.

then Safari for online banking because it saves field entry even when going into private mode. so the Barclays online login ID is auto-filled even in private browsing.

Pfft. Look at all these scrubs using browsers with GUIs. It's all about the Lynx.
