News Corsair announces Force 3 SSD recall

    Corsair asks for a full recall. OCZ says it affects 1% of their users. Something doesnt add up, especially when you see how many people are getting random BSODs etc on the OCZ support forums

    The problems always look worse on a forum. If all the happy users would post, you wouldn't even be able to FIND the unhappy ones.

    It does look rather serious though...

    Spoke to Corsair and OCZ. Corsair confirm the issue isn't in the drive controller, and that they have "full confidence" in the SandForce drive controller."

    Doing some digging, more info soon hopefully.

    If the fault only affects 120GB drives, why have you illustrated the story with an image of the 240GB model?

    Christopher has a point. Although explicit in the article, the image doesn't add up to it.

    I believe the problem is in the hardware used by Corsair. If it was a controller problem, maybe the two companies would issue a return and Corsair wouldn't have said what Baz told us hence the discrepancy between Corsair and OCZ's statements.

    There's always something that can go south

    SSD failures

    I purchased 7 of these for testing and 4 have failed in less than 3 months...
