At the minute if I want to subscribe to the marketplace, the two options are to be notified by email once daily or once weekly, would it be possible to get immediate alerts every time a new thread it made? I'm looking for some new parts at the moment, and I thought this would be a handy way to see if there's anything worthwhile on the marketplace.

Thanks, do I need some sort of RSS reader for this? Or can I get email updates? I've never used RSS before.

Edit: Getting a blank page is what you mean by it being broken, right?

I find the best thing to do is ignore the fact you have a job, and spend all your time pressing F5 in the marketplace index.

As long as you close the window occasionally, I'm pretty sure you can't get in trouble.

Seems rather against the jackpot spirit of the marketplace to me. Leave it broken says I!

Why not just make a "wanted" thread if you're after some items?

I'm in no hurry to sell this PC, so I won't actually be putting the whole thing together until around July/August time. My plan was to try and find most of my components for a cheaper price between now and then by checking places like the marketplace, Scan's Today Only page, eBay etc. I'll probably not buy something important like the graphics card early, as price could fall between now and July/August time, but things like the power supply could be bought in advance if I see a good price for it.

Having a wanted thread that will disappear in a day or two isn't really going to work for me, although maybe closer to the date I'll make one for motherboard, cpu and gpu.
