Need to do a bit of market research, . What screen resolution is your phone? I'm only really interested in android smartphones. Thanks
Iphone 5 1136x640 Samsung galaxy s3 1280x720 From the 2 i own. Iphone 5 is sharper in text display from what I've noticed. Sg3 plays back films better though.
About 110 x 110. I tried to count them. Brickphone Cheesecake! (…Yes, I knew you asked for Android smartphones… )
http://developer.android.com/about/dashboards/index.html - Screen Sizes and Densities http://developer.android.com/guide/practices/screens_support.html#testing - what those *dpi mean I personally own a Galaxy Nexus, that means 720x1280.
I'm using an openGL implementation to make a game. So it does scale to whatever size the phone is. Just trying to decide what the best sort of default size for sprites/textures etc would be. Been learning with 320x480. My phone is 480x800, which I was going to base around, but you lot all have HUGE phones,
My point was that that percentage table, together with the resolution table says how much are specific resolutions used. 50.1% of the Android phones are hdpi/normal - that means WVGA800 (480x800), WVGA854 (480x854) or 600x1024. 25.1% has xhdpi/normal, that means 640x960. Just by targetting these resolutions you covered 75% of the Android phone market.
Sony Xperia S - 720 x 1280. It's a Super-TFT based design, though, so it'll destroy batteries faster than most other phones.
