    Yep the electric bill came in, and at a whooping £900 for the quarter, so I'm going to have to it down on the folding , going to see what the bill is like with just one PC on 24/7 :(

    It happens to everyone at some point... £900 is steep, I have no doubt that mine would be as high if not worse if my current farm was actually metered and running at home. It's the exact same reason that I had to stop years ago in the days of the v6 client.

    My triple 980 machine alone is pulling almost 1kW from the wall. That's three cards, of 12 that I currently run with #13 going in next week. If you take Electricity at ~14p per unit in the UK, that works out at over £100 per month to run one machine 24/7. I would not be able to afford to run them at home. If that was my only choice, I wouldn't be folding at all.
