I hate it when its my Birthday, I get it is exciting when you are a kid but as an adult it seems crazy to celebrate the fact that you are a year closer to death. Just sayin
The latter started a couple of years ago for me. It's now at the point where I actually hate my birthday and don't want to celebrate it at all (apart from the eating out part ) But yeah, soon loses its shine when you start to creak and have dry dreams and wet farts
It's even worse when you genuinely aren't sure of the number you're supposed to be celebrating! Happy birthday all, though!
haha yeah I got confused this year. I used to deliberately remind myself of my age all the time but I've stopped now. I think turning 40 was the biggest turning point. I remember my mum's 40th party like it were yesterday. I was 12, and I remember thinking "wow, it's going to be forever until I am 40 !". Well forever has come and passed.
It was my birthday earlier in the week, and although I wasn't particularly fussed about it, my kids were absolutely hyper They did make me a very nice cake, too
Since age 20 I have had to do the math to know my age. These days I'm too lazy even to do that and just ask the wife.
