Can't believe there's no thread on this yet - or is everyone just too busy playing it to post here? Gotta be candidate for GOTY. Played it for a couple hours so far and it's just delightfully great. Just awesome. Finally the wii has a decent must-have title!
I wish I could play... I wanted to get for Tuesday... but stupid exam in the way! I prevent myself from buying it, else I know I'll study for my exam 10min before my exam. I'm going to get it this Friday, if it's not sold out. The game looks soooooooo cool!
According to Kotaku SMG has surpassed Ocarina of Time, taking the number 1 best reviewed game of all time position. OoT has been #1 for 9 years. SMG has been out for a few days and it's number 1 already. I think that says something. Me wanty!
It's awesome. I've been trying to play a bit of crysis as well, but I get bored within 20 mins and just go back to playing galaxy
Its only taken a year for Nintendo to release a decent game for the Wii after Zelda. Its good fun and quite addictive although its pretty easy imo. Game of the year? No way, its the same as every other Mario game.
Well if your counting Super Mario 3, Super Mario World & Mario 64 then I'm glad its the same - Those three are in the top 20 games of all time every - I sure Galaxy will join them.
Yea.. try playing some of the more old skool levels with the comets... Crazy I tell ya!! It is by far the best game I've played in a long long long time. The gameplay is just perfect. Sure there are some little niggles, but for pure enjoyment and variety there is nothing else that even rivals it.
LOL! - That's the whole point, Super Mario 64 is in my top 5 list of games, Super Mario Sunshine was good, but not excellent, but Galaxy is going to the roots on Mario, the flying etc.
I've been having a lot of fun with this game. The only thing that bugs me sometimes is the camera angles. My fiance likes picking up a second Wiimote and collecting the star bits, too. She's not much of a gamer, but collecting star bits is simple and she gets to help me.
Corrected, checked this on the box in HMV when I was in on Saturday, found it rather amusing that this actually happened.
Oh yeh... a whole year, I mean it's not like they had metroid prime 3, battalion wars 2, Mario strikers charged and super paper mario out. Nope. not at all. gotta say I'm loving this game but omg so many games out right now, so much choice of what to play
