Let face it, it's a map for snipers and helicopter nuts. All it takes is for some not-so-good (pc terminology) pilot to jump in the chopper time after time and your team are screwed. It's just too large and unwieldy, everytime it comes on you get a screen full of complaints....largely from me...but my point stands.
Is it still in the rotation then? I haven't been on in a couple of days so I don't know whether it's been taken out, but he only posted it yesterday so may not have had a chance yet.
sorry, will be on tonight, managed to get to level 27 on 4 player blops zombie mode, kind of over ran a bit. was expecting level 15 or something
I don't play on the CPC server often but knowing that Heavy Metal is off the rotation makes me really want to. Why are seemingly 50-60% of servers in my browser "HEAVY METAL 24/7"? It drives me absolutely crazy when I'm trying to find a decent server to get onto lately. I don't think it's even that good for snipers, since there isn't that much cover. Certainly not enough to save them from my M14 with 4x scope in between rockets when I'm trying to destroy the chopper who's been trolling my team for 15 minutes.. It's just a dreadful map - Too big/open for BC2 and not big enough to work well as some kind of BF2-wannabe.
tank column Cheesecake people love it because there are 2 choppers on each team, more chance of getting to fly! there really isn't enough opportunity in other maps.
Yeah I guess. The upshot of that for me is more practice at shooting chopper pilots with an M14. Possibly the most satisfying kind of kill in the game.
I like Heavy metal! BFBC2 differentiates itself from COD on use of vehicles and this map demonstrates that very well!
I'm an advocate of Heavy Metal too, but on the flipside, it does often reduce numbers on the server which is never good.
