There is an in built bennchmark tool which I ran and I averaged 30.57 FPS and compared to the GTX 670 review here:- http://www.legitreviews.com/article/1925/10/
I out scored the EVGA SC version which has higher clocks (It averaged 30.33 FPS) (Not started the overclocking on this just yet)
Yes mate all maxed out. As seen - http://www.techspot.com/review/349-a...50/page10.html

The one thing I did remember turning off was DOF (I hate this in all games)

Try enabling it and then run the benchmark.
Are you running @ 1920x1080?

DoF if i remember correctly was what killed my frame rate. Didn't notice much difference to the graphics when I turned it off but the frame rate shot up.

The game was a bit disappointing. The atmosphere was pretty good the graphics very nice, but it was a short game that I didn't find scary, which suprised me as I'm normally a bit of a scaredy pants.

Just went back into the game to do a quick DOF on/off test with FRAPS.
Static scene in a tunnel with people hanging around ready to go on a tram.
DOF on 38FPS
DOF off 57FPS

So as you can see, MASSIVE difference with advanced DOF enabled.

As far as I can see DOF does nothing but blur far away objects. Why have this on? Surely it's better left off with the added bonus of a nice boost in fps

Each to their own i suppose.

Just re-iterating that you wouldn't be able to run this game at max with your setup as you stated and enabling DOF makes a 40% difference to frame rates...no wonder you didn't mention it initially!

I have now knocked DOF off for a nice smooth experience.

The game is running at max settings. Like I've said! DOF Depth of Field doesn't make the game look visually any better it blurs the object farther away. WHY would you want this? If anything I would like to see further afield.

Semantics I guess but if it is advanced features, you would expect it to improve the aesthetics.

Having said that, blurring distant objects sounds like a downturn in visuals as opposed to an improvement.
Anyways, just had a 30 min bash with all settings maxed and DOF disabled and it was a far more (and still pretty) pleasureable experience.

I think DX11 uses Shaders to calculate DOF so that it's not just a simple blur, it's more cinematic. There is a big difference between DX10 Dragon age 2 DOF and DX11.

As seen in my picture above comparing DOF on & off. The sharper image is with it off.

uz1_l0v3r has yet to learn the way of the Dremel
I can play it maxed out with ease on my core i7 920/GTX 580/8gb RAM rig.

I played it for about a week, lost interest and haven't touched it since. You're not missing a great deal, imo.
