Like the Macho B, but purely for cosmetic reasons, having a large window on my case (Corsair 450D), I couldn't live with the B&W colour scheme of the fan, and those clips look like they wouldn't fit with anything else, and I don't like fans that extend beyond the dimensions of the cooler itself..looks untidy.

I think the Macho B could go fanless if you don't overclock

I think my Frio will have to suffice a while longer, I'm glad that Thermaltake have still got air coolers of a similar philosophy (huge, millions of fins) in their lineup. Even if they're 200g lighter ;)

I'm running an original Macho fanless on an i5 3570K with a mild overclock. There's also a fanless HD7750 in the box. All airflow duties done by a single 12cm Noctua in the roof (P182) running at just above stall voltage. Works very well and is utterly inaudible even when gaming. Granted, it's no powerhouse, but the Macho really is an outstanding cooler.

It looks really Macho. Without madness of Noctua DH-14/15. With such beefy heatsink I think it should do just fine as passive cooler. Certainly for anything up to i5.
