This man made my childhood happier. That's saying something, for a survivor of abuse. I'm sadder today.
I've seen "The Silver Streak" so many times that it's almost eternal. He only played the deputy in "Blazing Saddles", but the movie never would have been the same (or as good) without him. Maybe, he's now passing time with the true love of his life who passed before him. Gilda Radner passed at a very young age. Here's wishing him the best! Edit: I just remembered he was in "Young Frankenstein" and that was absolutely marvelous.
