Dates have been announced for The Division's closed beta, it starts a day early for Xbox One. If you've pre-ordered you should get a code, you can also register and see if you get in.
Damn well better have preload available atleast by the 26th for PC, you know their servers are going to get boned before it goes live.
I am extremely interested in this and have signed up for the beta, but not pre-ordered, or used the Humble Bundle option to get it. Considered getting the Season Pass for RB6: Siege in order to get in, but had too many expenses of late. If the BETA gets good feedback from those in ZiiP (and here of course), then I'll be picking up the deluxe edition I reckon. Liking the concept (even though it's not entirely new in any way) and the setting. Fingers crossed that the delays have been worth it.
I lost almost all interest in this game when I saw hitpoints spurting out of the bullet sponge enemies a-la Borderlands.
Realistic environments don't really lend themselves to end-game bullet sponge raiding sadly. Although dark zone does sound interesting...
After being burnt by so many games of late, there's no way I'm risking a pre-order without playing it, so I stumped up a quid on ebay to buy a beta key and am pre-loading now!
Always best to wait for the reviews, or some play-time. I've been following it since it's initial announcement a few years ago. It all looked very promising but, judging from the initial reports of the beta gameplay, it seems it's less than stellar. One example: http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2016/01/the-divisions-underwhelming-beta-dampens-our-expectations/ It's a shame but I'll wait to see what the final reviews have to say before making my mind up.
Following on from my comment above, I played some of the closed beta and loved every minute of it. I'm now genuinely looking forward to the full release.
looking forward to giving this a go in the open beta, im a bit put off by the GUI all over the place and the down graded graphics but willing to give it a shot.
I know there's talk of downgraded graphics but they looked great in the closed beta. The GUI is very customisable too.
