This build came around as I wanted to get a new case and had planned on going for the new fractal design arc midi 2 but then that got delayed until the end of April which scuppered my plans. But then Alphacool released probably the best looking rad ever and I needed to own it!

So I purchased the rad and then had the issue of finding a case that would fit it!! Enter the NZXT switch 810 matte Black edition. This project has been a bit of a slow burn as I have had all the new components since January but I have been waiting for my NZXT switch 810 to be modded. It has been with the modding company for over 2 months. But hey good things come to those who wait!

I am having a custom back plate created without all the numerous grommet holes that the original had as I think it looks to cluttered. I wanted it to look nice and clean with only a couple of holes for cable routing. It is being made out of aluminium and will be powder coated Black .

    New vs Old :)

Once powder coated it will look like this (pic is from another user's mod)

They are also making me a psu cover that will run the length of the back plate but leaving me enough space to get my Monsta 240 rad with one set of fans in the front. Again this is made of aluminium and will be powder coated black.

The final mod they are doing is making the window bigger as I hate how the default window is triangular..

Whilst I have been waiting for my case I have managed to sell most of my old watercooling stuff from my current build and obviously purchased new parts

Just what every build needs a massive fluffy cat!!

Also got by psu braided by martin at cables4pc, looks preety awsome if i dont say so myself :)

The white rad and grill look sweeeet together, love the E22 stuff. Should be interesting to see the Gene in an 810 hope it doesn't look too empty.

That's a really nice build. Those fittings look ace, were they powder coated?

I have started to tube up the build but need some feedback. I am going to use black tubing but have used some clear tubing just to test length etc.

The aim is to keep the loop as clean as possible to match with the rest of the build. What do you guys think of the first attempt of the loop. Any suggestions are more then welcome :)

Wouldn't it look better with tubing aligned in straight lines?

Thanks for all the coments on my loops much appriciated. Think I am happy with the final loop and have now used the black tubing as planned. Although it is black, it is a gloss black so will reflect the led's in the case nicley (when I put them in!). What do you think?

Much prefer the black tubing but just IMHO would have used black fittings on the white back plates- I have an all black case with all black tubing/fittings etc. and really like the minimalist look which I think you would get the contrast between your white fans/ back plates and that- I'll try and post a picture of my rig sometime but love the clean lines of this so far- Keep up T'good work

That looks awesome. I love the white fittings with the black tubing and i think you've got the routing spot on.

    I like it!!

Only points of critique: I would've liked seeing the top radiator in black also, and personally I don't think the red and black fits in, white and black braided cables would've gone with the build nicer imho.

Super nice build none the less tho! I love those white BP connectors!

You want yet another red and black build? boring! i love the white. It helps pick out the red even more.
