Hi guys, I am getting further into planning my build now (some of you may have seen my recent threads in the market place) and I have one small niggling question. Will a 500W PSU be enough to power: 1 SSD 1 HDD 1 M-ITX Mobo 8GB RAM 2 FANs 1 i5 2500k/3570k and the potential to upgrade and use a 7850 when the prices are a little lower? What do people think? Matt
Take a look at this site Personal I usually go for over kill because I don't plan on replacing my PS until the one i have is overloaded or dies. You never know what you will put in your comp that takes More POWER!
Make sure its a decent PSU and its heavy to hold. I know it sounds daft but a heavy PSU is a good indiciation of a decent one. Getting a 500w PSU with only 20A on the 12v+ rail is really crap basically. So check there are suitable amps for running an i5 system (+any GPU in the future if necessary)+(any overclock)
