Windows Counter-Strike Global Offensive Discussion

Hey all!

I was searching around and didn't notice much discussion for the newest CS game. This is one of my go to games right now. I really like the ranking system for competitive. I have also gotten into the earning and trading of weapon skins as well. Anyone else here play CS:GO regularly?

 

Probably my most played game at the moment, the matchmaking system means I can jump straight into competitive games which is what I enjoy with friends.

Not really done much/any of the skin stuff, got drops and what not but not tried to get super nice ones, what kind of things do you have?

 

Same! It is so easy to jump into a competitive game with their system.

When it comes to skins, I don't have anything that is really impressive. However, I do have a stat trak M4 that is worth about $3. I also have a pretty nice p250, p2000, ump, and famas. I want to try to get one of the stat trak ak's, but they are pretty tough to find and are pretty expensive.

 

Fair enough, one of my friends opened a knife worth £100+ over the weekend, and I've got a couple of others who have pretty nice inventories, no idea how much it cost them though haha.

 

It's incredibly addictive, but i seem to be falling out of love with competitive as I quite regularly get teamed up with idiots who don't communicate or get stuck in a server where none of my hits register!

The skins initially seemed ridiculous until I got hooked on them! And I know I am paying money for nothing more than in game aesthetics! I now try to sell everything immediately and build up funds in my steam account for a nice skin or a game instead.

What rank are you guys in competitive? I was up to gold 4 but i'm currently in the depths of gold 2......

 

Currently MGE having played with a decent group of people for the last week or two.

I basically never solo queue, just asking for trouble in my opinion.

 

Yup solo queuing is a nightmare, usually play with at least 1 person on TS.

Any BT folk looking for some teamwork?

I am MGE as well. I agree that playing solo can be hit or miss. Sometimes you get a great team, sometimes you get a really awful one. Overall, agree that this game is pretty addictive

 

Everytime I play comp, I always get loads of angry russians.
Kinda spoils it for me

I'm currently MGE too, I can't say I'm consistent but I haven't deranked in a while now. A bunch of us play most days on the Bit-tech Teamspeak server (213.5.182.127). Feel free to jump on and join us, we're usually chilling in the lobby.

As Telltale said last year, If anyone out there is stuck solo queuing, There is, 9 times out of 10, people on the TS that are always up for a good game.

 

If you guys need a server just shout, Space on a dedi for one.

 

Thanks Votick! I mostly just play competitive match making, but this is a good offer and if we get a good community going we may just have to take you up on it

 

I hadn't played games for a good year, fired back up my gaming rig and thought I would give this a go. To be honest I am not sure I like it compared to CS:S I much prefer to play that over GO. Maybe I just need to give it more time, but my first thoughts were not so good.
