If you started from scratch with a new computer and were restricted to 5 total games, which would you choose? I'm buying a computer after being out of the PC gaming market for a long time. I want to start off with the right games!! My Picks: World Of Warcraft Sid Meier's Civilization V SimCity 4 Deluxe Edition Diablo 3 Witcher 2 Tell me which to remove, which to add.
League of Legends that is all edit: but if I want to play LoL, i need an internet connection and if I have an internet connection, there is no way I'll be stuck on that island for long
Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards Leisure Suit Larry Goes Looking for Love (in Several Wrong Places) Leisure Suit Larry III: Passionate Patti in Pursuit of the Pulsating Pectorals Leisure Suit Larry 5: Passionate Patti Does a Little Undercover Work Leisure Suit Larry 6: Shape Up or Slip Out! /troll
Remove: Word of Warcraft, for obvious reasons SimCity 4, as it basically doesn't run on new computers Diablo 3, as it gets boring after about a month My List: Left 4 Dead 2, for endless co-op fun...but only if there is internet access Company of Heroes Empire: Total War or Napoleon Borderlands 2 Anno 2070
I think your list is too much based on strategy, I'd replace Witcher with an FPS title with strong multiplayer (personal choice is BF3 or Bad Company 2). Problm with Witcher is linearity. I'd argue the same for SimCity 4 as well. Maybe swap that out for an RTS like CoH or Starcraft. Also, swap Diablo 3 for Diablo 2. Although arguably D3 has more content coming than D2.....
Great question BF3 SupCom: FA Empire Total War Planetary Annihilation Star Citizen (I know the last two aren't out but I'd survive on BF3 and SupCom: FA til they are released. EDIT: forgot GTA4. Endless fun to be had there, and also, as below, Eve Online might be a good shout.
I will have to assume that the island has Internet (otherwise I will find an island that does!)... 1. Arma 2 (Combined Ops) - Simply the best game ever and I could do without the other four! 2. Battlefield 3 - If I fancy something a little less tactical than Arma 2. 3. Batman : Arkham City - I love just cruising around the city as the caped crusader - best batman game ever. 4. Assassin's Creed 3 - OK, it hasn't arrived yet, but I am betting that it is good and I loved the previous games (apart from the first one maybe). Poisoning guards and watching chaos ensue is the best fun you can have legally!! 5. Take On Helicopters - I can spend hours and hours and hours just flying round and combined with Arma 2 gives me the chance to play both together as Take On Helicopters:ReArmed. If I had no internet, I would drop BF3 (single player was rubbish) and have X3:Albion Prelude instead - I really want to find the time to get into it, but sadly I never seem to be able to dedicate enough time.
1 - Command & Conquer (either the original, Red Alert or RA2. I can't decide) 2 - SimCity 4 with mods (like NAM etc) 3 - Eve Online (if internet connection) or Sins of a Solar Empire (if no internet) 4 - Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory (if internet connection) or Unreal Tournament GOTY edition (if no internet) 5 - Fallout 3
Football manager 2013 does not require Internet would last forever. The witcher 2 Endless space Sins Assuming no Internet.
1.) Black Hawk Down 2.) Joint Operations Combined arms 3.) The Privateer 2 4.) Geoff Crammonds F1 5.) Age of Empires lll
The Witcher 2 – Best PC RPG in ages. CIV 5 – Addictive turnbased life sucker, just one more turn! Company of Heroes – Hours of fun from the good SP campaigns and Skirmishes Vs the AI Sins of a Solar Empire 2/Rebellion – for when the confines of earth become tiresome and you want battles with hundreds of ships! Hitman: Blood Money – because everyone needs a good, stylish murder simulator. No need for a net connection, all great quality titles and no other annoying player in sight. I disagree with Sotu1, having recently played TW2 for the 3rd time (first time with the EE) I have realised just how much variety there really is, including the 16 or so endings, the 2 main "paths" you can take plus all the sub choices. And from reading the Wiki, I seem still to have missed a good number of side plots! I think any good RPG would do though, maybe the original Dragon Age for instance.
Minecraft - 50% of the time I'm on my PC I'm on MC and I love that they keep adding things Civ V - I have spent so many hours on this I find it unreal considering I only play SP and time spent has reduced since MC but I'd still take it. FM2013 - Slowly getting back into FM after plunging my teenage years into early iterations. Borderlands 2 - not that I'd need anything else with the above but this would give me my looting desires. Um I don't know about a 5th. I want to take Skyrim/Fallout 3/Fallout New Vegas for my RPG needs but also would like a good FPS or hybrid like Portal 2, Half Life but I don't really need it.
Battlefield 3 Premium Edition (Just so you get extra goodies) Pulling off some headshots make you feel somewhat godlike Age of Empires Online A good game that offers you many hours of replay value. Elder Scrolls V Skyrim Its so Huge in content you will die of old age before doing everything. Need For Speed Most Wanted A great game (Mine arrives tomorrow). Now Either Grand Theft Auto 4 Great game that offers plenty of fun. or Borderlands 2 Not played it myself but item looting is always good happy fun.
Stuck on an island playing games that would be rubbish. I would give the pc and games to the local tribes chief for his 17yr old daughter.
Minecraft with Tekkit Anno 2070 STALKER (haven't made my mind up between SoC and CoP though) Garry's Mod Plus if there is an Internet connection: Team Fortress 2 Otherwise CoD World at War (single player) - for the zombies! And if piracy isn't an option, and there is no Internet connection, then I suppose Anno 2070 needs to be switched for something else, like Company of Heroes.
Deus Ex (original) Skyrim (any betheseda game of this nature) FIFA 11 (turns out I meant 12) Dishonored (haven't played it but need something new) GTA 4 collection (would swap for red dead redemption if it was on pc)
