So, looking to choose some new ram for my Z77 build. In a review on tweaktown I think, the 1866 was overclocked some distance beyond 1866. I haven't tried OCing mine.
OC'ing RAM for current-gen Intel boards will make no difference outside of benchmarks. The same can be said of the difference between 1600MHz and 1866MHz, but if they're the same price then you might as well go for it.
All the dual/quad labelling basically means is that the sticks will work together without issue. So if you have a quad channel board and bought two different dual channel kits, there's a chance they won't work together as there might be certain differences.
Now then, is that you Casann or has Noiz accidentally posted using your login? If it's the former then kudos for getting involved in hardware.
