Like the other thread I turned 40 on the 17th dec, other fokes looking into and observing my life have commented I need to do more real world activity's

Has any one done Tandem Skydiving?

I think I will be able to pick up a few fokes from work to go and I would like to do this and then maybe get to a higher jump alone,

what do you guys think about this?

I am in NW9 so thought http://ukskydiving.com/tandem-skydive/ look pretty professional.

Must be pretty intense to actually push out of the plane no?

when you were at the side of the plane about to push off, do you think you could have pushed off yourself if there wasn't some one else in control of that bit?>

    :)

edit: must have been nice weather conditions there,

Yeah weather and views where great.

Tandem your already hanging out the plane so there's no choice at that point. You also have to look up so you can't see the ground which removes most of the fear factor.

In my head before hand I imagined it would be like a theme park ride but it's not at all. It's just like your floating with the wind blowing at your face.

Make sure you fully adjust yourself before otherwise things get very painful when the shoot opens.

    Well duh!

The strangest things about it is that once you hit terminal velocity it doesn't feel like falling anymore.

I would recommend going somewhere with nice weather to do it, I did it near Brisbane and the view was 300 miles.

did you have a second Shute?
were was it around your waist / stomach?

nice trick about looking up, bet few fokes must have been more nevious than others, was there a lot of people on the plane or just a few?

it would do quick if you hit the ground lol, I can kind of understand why the sensation is like that, interesting. wind in the face must be some thing else.

I don't think it would feel like much of anything.

I recommend going to the toilet before take off though, there is a lot of deceleration when the chute opens...

    Three of us per plane.
