Sorry if being a bit thick - but how do I delete my profile? I have had several forums that I am a member of been hacked lately (different passwords!) so I am getting rid of a few profiles I hardly use.

    Thanks

Once you're on here, that's it for life. Try and quit and you'll be forcefed cheesecake.
And then something interesting happens with the wrong end of a banana.

PM a mod like Krikkit or Margon. I'm fairly sure that they won't delete it though, just lock it.

I must say though, I've enjoyed every one of your 20 posts on this forum over the past two years. It'll be a shame to see you go.

I thought all you needed was a copy of Permit number A38? Should be able to find it at window 1 on the ground floor, first corridor on the right...

You need three copies (one for the moderator, one for records, one for admin). But to obtain a P-A38 you need a C17 Request form (pink copy, not the blue one, that's for the T-A38 Name Change Request), which requires a Request Request form Subsection Accounts Management (Reassignments and Terminations), which can be obtained by getting a general request form SD462-A (not -B!). Make sure you get the number right --there are 328 versions. Again, fill out in triplicate and keep a fourth copy for yourself in case they lose them.

    All very simple, really.

But what if you wanted a copy of Permit number A39 as stipulated under the new circular B65? Honestly it sounds like a simple administrative formality to me, yes a simple formality.

Oh that's easy. You use the C17 Request form as before (but this time the blue copy), but make sure you have the Addendum Form P39b (green) and the SD461-B (not -A!) in triplicate. But you have to submit the latter 24 hours before the former otherwise the form handling goes out of sync. And of course you need a General Request Form Form (one to ask for the other), the yellow one, in triplicate with a fourth copy for yourself, to start the whole process off. Make sure you fill it out in Aramaic. I know it says Cuneiform will do, but the departmental software hasn't been updated yet and besides, it's glitchy.

If you want to be really sure, also sacrifice a chicken on the altar of the gods of Bureaucracy (fifth floor, corridor C in the West Wing) but make sure you have the right request form for that. SD150, subsection F for livestock, J for poultry. If you want to use a ritual knife (might as well do it with all the formal trimmings) you need form SD150-TT also. Personally I'd just pay a high priest to do it on your behalf, as they have brokers to handle the details. It costs a bit, but saves you a lot of hassle. And the gods do stand on formality.
