Quote:
Transparent: Easily seen through. Our transparent cast acrylic (plexiglass) sheet is a brilliantly colored sheet that you can see through.

Quote:
Translucent: letting light through diffusely, allowing light to pass through, but only diffusely, so that objects on the other side cannot be clearly distinguished. Translucent acrylic sheet can not be seen through, it is a solid color, light comes through the sheet but you can not see through the sheet.
Note: The 2025 Black is an opaque color. (Light will not come through this sheet)

Honestly, the stuff they refer to as "translucent" is practically opaque; you'd need a halogen light behind it to really see through it unless you get your superpowers from our yellow sun!

Thanks for the info.

The white I used in this project is labeled opaque so I guess that means I won't be able to back-light it even though I might be able to back-light the bright translucent colors. When TAP uses the term "sign" I imagined a brightly lit translucent sign. The label Sign Opaque White got confusing real fast.

No need to back-light anything really. In person, the colors are so bright they demand your attention. Walk into a room where it is sitting and you instantly notice it. It is quite literally "stunning" if I'm allowed to use that word. My camera can't capture that.
