This is what I won. http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/pcs/2016/04/14/cube-skeleton-red-review/1 Only the mobo box came with it, I was hoping all the component boxes would be included being a bit anal like that. Having just spent over £400 upgrading my own PC I am not sure what to do with it. It is bloody quiet though.
Long gone from ATX mate I like my current set up + I have shelves and speakers set up for the M-ATX case size.
Every part is pretty much lower than what you have now (CPU slightly higher) - so why not part it out and sell on the MP.
Thinking along these lines myself Tom though it does seem a shame to to that to something that looks this good.
To me, it's a bit savage to win this amazing prize and then break it up and sell the parts! I doubt after seeing this thread cube will bother throwing up another competition.
I am quite sympathetic to your view but I enter lots of competitions that come my way usually via email and consequently forget about them as like us all we do not expect to win. Unfortunately given that I have just spent a fair bit on an upgrade to my gaming PC and with a view to purchasing a 1080 GPU this gives me the means to achieve this. At the end of the day the PC is mine to do with as I please though I accept morally it is dubious.
On the whole I agree with Pookie, however most members of this board or readers of the site will likely already have a decent rig so for Cube this wasn't about giving a good PC to someone who necessarily needs it, it was all about promotion and getting their brand out there. They won't even care what Kronos does with it. Although if Kronos was feeling mighty generous he could sell it as a whole on the MP for the cost of a GTX1080 then everyone's a winner. /2p P.S. Congrats Kronos
Now that is a thought. As I would prefer to sell as a whole rather than break it up. With that in mind I kept every bit of packaging which is annoying the good lady at the moment. Will give this some thought and have a look at which particular 1080 I want. Thanks for a great idea Craig.
