I am having trouble getting this motherboard with an i5-4670k to output any resolution other than 1280x800 on my LG3000H (30" 2560x1600) when using the windows 10 preview. HDMI output to a tv does not seem to work either. Tonight I will install windows 8.1 to see if I can get it working there.

The latest drivers from Intels website will not install and I have tried drivers from windows update, the disc that came with my motherboard and asus support website to no avail.

    Any suggestions?

How are you connecting the LG display up? Sounds like it is being recognised as only a single-link display, whereas 2560x1600 is a dual-link res.

I'd advocate installing known working drivers on a known working OS, as you suggest, as a first port of call :thumb:

It's connected up using a dual link cable that works fine with the GTx780 in my other rig.

My notebook, a Dell XPS 13 with 1920x1080 screen but HD5000 igpu works fine with the preview with no additional drivers which suggests the problem is with the board / board drivers, and yes testing with windows 8.1 should show this either way. Curious if anyone else has this problem or if Asus is aware.

Hopefully it is not a hardware problem.

Happy to be proved wrong, but I thought the HD4600 only does above 1080p over HDMI? The trouble is, many monitors will only take over 1080p on a dual-link DVI or displayport connection?

Ok, that would explain why 2560x1600 is not working, it only has dvi. However, this is not the main issue.

The hdmi issue is with another screen and must be driver related as I have noticed that it will show the Windows boot logo then goes to no input when it should show the login screen.

Now back to using Windows 8.1 so not a Windows 10 issue
