In the last few days we decided to start another new project.
It will be a custom build Aquarium in shape of a Tikki Mask.

First we startet to build the Aquarium itself, therefore we used a 30cm plexiglas tube and a sheet of uv active plexiglas, we transfer the outline of our tube to the sheet of plexi and cut it out. After that the Plexi circle was glued on one side of the tube to seal it, so it can hold the water in.
After that we made a first test run with water etc to see if everything is fine and there is no water coming out.

Then we started to build the Head of our Tikki Aquarium.

We take some sheets of styropor and glued them together to get the right dimensions to fit on top of the tube, then we made some paper clay and put it all over the Head. After the Paper Clay dried out we put a sheet of raw carbon on top of the head to make it more solid.

Then we mixed some bondo and put it all over the head to get a smoot and flat surface on which we can build the details for the tikki face

After a lot of sanding and grinding we could then start to airbrush the head in a real wood style...

Beside that we already start to build the "main" case which will contain the hardware and will be placed under the Aquarium part.
For that we make 2 sheets of plexi, on one the mainboard will be mounted on the other we will mount PSU, Pump, Radiator and HDD.

at the moment we don´t want to route the tubes through the water...but we have discussed if we should integrate the water reservoir inside the aquarium....but up to now we are not sure if we integrate it or not..so we will see...

Looks good so far, nice attention to detail with the paint job. I was actually thinking about combining a pc and an aquarium myself. Can't wait to see the finished result.

Very cool! Tha airbrushing is top notch! I love it. Also, that green plexi is a nice touch. NOw are the tubes going to run through the tank's water at all?
