Cooling

    hi guys

    what do people use to cool there rigs mainly gpu other than watercooling or standard case fans

    cheers for any help

    Open cases. In a separate room with the windows slightly open. If a multi GPU rig consider using PCI risers and a modified case setup to keep cards further apart. Folding doesn't need lots of PCI-E lanes, x1 will work fine.

    Open case with a desk fan does the trick.

    I got 2 computers in an outside brick shed...just put a big hole in the wall so I can mount a 200mm fan as an extraction for it....don't want it too noisy for the neighbours

    Nice! (I considered doing something similar). Presumably these are wirelessly connected to the net?

    at the moment wireless but im having trouble with speeds and too many others connected wireless to the router....so im gonna get a switch and run a wire out to it....maybe I could get somemore computers then lol

    Definitely get a cheap switch and some long cables :)

    Cooling wise I'm only folding on a single gpu at the moment (just kind of starting again), and so I just whack up the fan :p
    Noisy (reference GTX570 cooler) but ah well, it's for a good cause :p

    yea I found a switch for less than £10 in scan so that sounds good to me

    has anyone got a portable air conditioner if so what would you recommend for a sub £100 one
