I wouldn't. Heard some nasty story's about fried motherboards n weird stuff wen running. That was with a Sandybridge system tho. It would b cheaper long term to buy 1.5v memory rather than a new mob n CPU later if it goes bang. Just my thoughts.

I am using 1,65v memory with my SB processor and I haven't had any problems. I belive it will only cause problems if you want to overclock your memory further than their specified timings. Sometimes you get lucky and your 1,65v memory will run at their specified timings at 1,5v.

    Yeah, sorry :p

    I'll update my sig later.
    Currently running at 1860 CAS8 1.65v :)

RAM makes a huge difference to how a llano setup feels I've found, felt sluggish on the desktop etc at 1333 CAS9, upping the ram, even to 1600 C8 made it feel like a totally different pc!

You tried clocking your chip? Think I'm going to have a go tonight, see what extra performance I can eek out of it

    What ram is it?
Even though my corsair xms3 ram is rated at 1.65v it has no problem running at 1.52 volts. I haven't tried at 1.48 yet but I think that would be pushing my luck.

What RAM is it exactly? 1.65V at 1333MHz or higher? If higher just run it at 1.55V 1333. Tbh though, 1.65V will be fine 99% of the time - see if you can undervolt it a tad maybe if you really need to run it at faster clocks.

my xms ddr3 runs fine at 1600 @1.5v, but for 1680 (the fastest i can get it to go) it needs 1.64v,
but i've never messed around with timings etc.

    its corsair XMs3 Classic Runs @ 1600mhz 9-9-9-24 @1.65V

attempted last night a straight auto + 1.50V 1600mhz @ 11-11-11-29 it failed straight away.

Ill have a play but if it should be fine to run at 1.65V ill try undervolting a little maybe 1.6V-1.62 ?
