my sisters kids pc is powering down after a few secionds of being powered up, iv tryed every thing i know, tryed a new psu (his was a 520w corsair tryed with a 500w ocz) , reseating every thing, only powering up with memory and psu, taken out the mainbaord so its sitting on a esd bag,
at first it was like powering up for a few secionds then powering down, now we get up to the bios post bleep then it powered off. also when it powers off it will not power up again till i take the kettle lead out and wait a min then plug it back in.
the spec of the pc is

    corsair 520w moduler psu
    AMD Phenom II X6 1075T 3.0GHz
    ASRock 880GXH/USB3 AMD 880G
    4 gig ram
    ati 4850
    harddrives
    cdrom

sounds like the power supply or motherboard esd is tripping from a surge.. probably the mb

kids will drop kool aid and whatever all over the board then tell you they didn't do it nowdays.. look over the board carefully and you'll probably find the culprit

check capacitors of your motherboard and other computer parts. Had same problem before and capacitors are the problems.
