ok I'm hoping some one has has the same problem as me in the past and managed to find a way around it.

I'm trying to get a bank account however I don't have enough ID.

My birth certificate is invalid as it no longer has the correct name on it

my change of name deeds were lost when I was a kid

and I'm not on he electoral roll as I have recently moved

most of the bills are in my name but I'm stuck as to what else to use.

    any ideas ?

passport. driving license, firearms license, council tax bill, P45, P60, court summons,

if you have non of those i'd start applying and consider why you don't have any form of legal ID!

Can you not get a copy of your change of name papers?
Usually such things will cost but I think in this case it will be worth it considering you don't seem to have what is essentially considered basic ID.

p2 works as well, some banks also accept a recommendation letter from your employer (works best if you apply for a account at the bank your employer has his account as well).

send me all your money and i'll open an account for you :D

In all seriousness, you need to get some replacement papers, it will cost you a bit but you'll find that you need these lots of times during your life anyway.

    don't have a passport, don't have a driving licence, Don't have a firearms licence

council tax I should be able to sort out

p45 I can sort out, If a p60 is what i think it is I can sort that out as well.

I'm not applying for a court summons against myself as thats just silly :)

a copy of my change of name deeds is impossible as the solicators only need to keep them for 7 years after that they can legally be deleted and theres no central registry where they get registered.

not working at the moment so a letter from my employer is out not sure what a p2 is though?

as for needing them in my life I'm 37 now and I've managed up until now but I'm planning to set myself up in business in about 12 months time and I want to sort out a semi-reasonable credit rating before then because until now I've always paid for things with cash or used the Gf's account.

apply for a provisional driving license? dont really have to learn to drive:D
p2 is some tax related stuff.. but you would need to have a taxable income to get it.

Go to the births deaths and marriages office. Think to get the papers you need will cost you £7.50 at the most.

Get married? Then at least you'll have one Class 1 document and if the business goes under you can have the valuables in her name.

Yeah I was just thinking that. You're so close to legally not existing.

I love how applying for ID requires some ID, oh the joys of beaurocracy.

anything in red I either don't have, have never had, or don't have any longer

Anything In blue I don't have and also have no idea what they are :)

anything in black I'm hoping I can get hold of by talking to the relative agencies/council departments/billing departments etc to see if I can get hold of copies or up to date statements.

hopefully they will be enought id there.

Just stay off the grid, may come in handy after big brother takes over.

Just go for a job at McDonalds or Tesco or something so you can get a letter. Its crazy hard to get a bank account in England.
