So I wanted a case that could aircool and watercool so I spent some time designing my own case using sketchup and ended up with this (changed from inverted to norml mobo tray later on) : wont be using that crazy hardware but still this is what what I'll be using to build the frame, with a ATX psu for reference metal in da hause? done! picked up 2 180mm fans from silverstone, airpenetrator ones really big as you can see, the case in the background is a Fractal design R3 built in fancontroller for 2 fans I think? awesome This is how there going to sit in the case, tall? oh yezz how they look next to the frame found this old harddrive cage and modded it to fit 2 hdds, might use it. got the plate to hold the 2 180s in the front in pretty big huh? I/O shield, on/off button, dust filters and some fan grills the beginning of a 5.25 bay how I'm going to fit the I/O shield and back fan still room for a mid plate and plenty of room for a 120mm fan 3.5cm of cable management room behind the mobo tray can go for 2 120mm fans but not sure if I actually want to 9cm of room for fan and rad picked up some mesh, alot actually custom fan grills anyone? looks pretty beast I/O shield mounted and back 120 is mounted outside view, ignore the scratches back with fan mounted outside view with fan, looks okay? 3 5.25 D-drives mounted carbon fiber !!! cheap stuff though :/ wont be running out of this for awhile Had to try it out some Looks okay??
thanks , my only reply Update Start of a new rad holder for the top done mounted and fans fitted got a handle for the back 120fan grill and a 30CM ruler for reference here's the dust filter mounted on the 180 airpenetrator fan 180s mounted in the case the piece of paper is 17x17cm which is about the size of an mini-itx motherboard. So I could get 2 systems in there the cpu power for the top of the motherboard is no where as long as it needs to be, sure this psu has an extra short cable but still I'll be needing some extensions that's all for now  Hoping to get the motherboard tray in soon..
some pics of the rig that's going to be installed in the case tried to take some pics of the gpus but I don't really know how to use this camera but I'll figure it out soon
Thanks man I'll be taking some pics with the camera when I changed the lens and maybe I'll be able to focus on the card instead of the background Thanks for commenting
Yay, I got the motherboard mounted and it sits there good. Case with the motherboard in. from behind 2 L brackets to secure it 2cm cable management space under the bar, 3.5cm elsewhere. also changed the PSU mount to be able to mount the psu with the fan down nearly 5cm of breathingroom That's all for now
What's the proper name for those corner connectors so I can find some. I presume by the following pics the tubular bars slide or fix on to them somehow?
I have no clue what they're called in english :/ but you slide them in using some force using a hammer and they sit firm...
Nice mod and nice idea using the 3-way connectors for the corners. Looking forward to seeing more updates.
