Other How do I put AVCHD to Blu-ray

Hi folks,

I'm really struggling to put my AVCHD recordings to disc.

I am using a Panasonic SD90 HD camcorder for home videos but I can't copy them to disc without losing quality.

Watching the video back by putting the SDHC card directly into the TV results in really impressive video quality, but I can't copy them to disc without a huge drop in quality.

Obviously copying them to DVD drops the quality, so I bought a blu-ray writer, but i'm struggling to convert them.

Does anyone out there successfully put their AVCHD video files to blu-ray successfully? What programs do you use?

Any tips at all would be greatly appreciated!!

what program are you using to burn the blu-rays?

 

I've tried the Panasonic HD writer AE 3.0 which came with the camera, but it fails on every write.

I've also tried Cyberlink PowerProducer with no luck.

i use nero, that works flawlessly on my system

 

Which version of Nero do you use? Are you burning HD camcorder footage?

nero 11 platinum, yes have done, 1080p

EDIT:

one thing I will say, is if you are having trouble writing straight to disk, try writing to iso, the burn the iso.

 

I'll have a look into Nero, anything that works will be great , cheers
