I'm putting my H100i on my CPU tomorrow (hopefully) but will need to
    remove the TIM on it.
Every tutorial about removing uses isopropyl alcohol.. but I can't find
    it anywhere to buy! :/
Anyone know where I can get it? Or something to do the same?
I've asked at ASDA pharmacy, store, boots, superdrug, B&Q... ;/
I can't get it online as I need it for tomorrow. lol

    Anyone know?

I always use Akasa Tim Clean. Top stuff and smells citrusy.

Do you have a Maplin's/PC World anywhere nearby?

I've used acetone and methylated spirits before but this is the first time I heard about hand sanitiser :)

This and Q-tip buds. Works splendidly with your £200+ processor. :D

Haha Purell is basically just alcohol. Meths would do otherwise, but a chemist will sell Isopropyl or Surgical Spirit if you don't fancy hand sanitiser :)

    Anyway - Purell? YOLO:

I was going to suggest acetone, nail polish remover, or in a bind vodka. Although it is a waste of vodka. (I have tried vodka, it does work. I haven't tried the other 2, it is up to you if you want to give it a try!)

This is the stuff I get.

The amount you need to use means it will last for years, cheaper than buying the branded cleaners.

Chemist used to sell it but now eBay is your best bet.

Problem with nail varnish remover is it contains oil's to keep the nails good, you don't want any form of oil on a CPU

Might be a really bad thing, but zippo lighter fuel has worked fine for me in the past, available for around £1 or so from all good newsagents.

Search google for local chemical companies. Ask them for IPA. You should be able to buy a 1 litre bottle for no more than £3.

What's your location and i will have a quick google for you.

It's fantastic for numerous things, not just TIM cleaning. I use mine for cleaning the blades of my scissors (it removes gum and backing glue from Dinoc etc) and also for removing the crap left behind when removing stickers from anything.

And yeah, it smells hella nice :D
