Is it enough? Was contemplating getting a second 580 at some point. Would my corsair hx750 be able to handle it plus
    4 hard drives
    1 ssd
    2 dvd drives
    i7 920 stock, but maybe oc'd to 3.6ghz
    pci sound card
    12gb ram
    6 fans

You'll be a bit close to the limit for comfort, you might get away with it for a while If you use Vsync to limit the framerate but it wouldn't be ideal.

Have a look here for more details.

You should be fine as i dont think my rig pulled more than 600w with sli gtx580's and an i7 920 @4ghz.

no worries, a lot of people over spec psu's in terms of wattage.

Ok, there is a lot of exaggeration about system power usage. I ran 2 x 560Ti with 4ghz i7 860 with no problems on an enermax 625w. Consumption would vary in DX11 games between 400 to 620 watts but the PSU barely got warm.

A single 580 will use less than 2 x 560ti so even a 625 will suffice. I measure the system consumption with a mains meter.

A 750 is more than enough by some margin.

It seems nobody is reading the thread, I'm asking if TWO 580's plus my sig, would run fine on my 750 watt, not one.

Oh, I didn't bother reading your thread.

    2 x 580's!!!!

    Recommend at least 1300w PSU.

    Seriously... 750 should be good.

its always better to be safe. i have seen lodes of people saying 750w but also seen lodes saying 850w-900w i would always aim high when it comes to a psu
