With 8-core bulldozers already on the market, it would be nice to have a review of these bad boys.

Bulldozer isn't being released until mid 2011

I thought the Opteron 6174 was a "bulldozer"?

EDIT: I found your review now. Do I feel stupid.

No worries - we will definitely review Bulldozer when it's released next year.

I'm so hoping it gives intel a run for the money, I love AMD stuff, but I fear it'll equal i7 1366 or even beat it and then Sandy bridge will take it to the next level. I'd love to be proved wrong because my i7 gear will be gone in a flash.

I wish it does give Intel some competition, mainly as that will drive prices down across the board.

Probably not gonna get a lot of competition considering Intel's pretty much rules the market. AMD will need a lot more support to keep up with them.
