Payment recieved. Lest there be any doubt, this is just the mpuk server admins. Not some whole new deal. Or that's been y intention. Also city maps.
Like I said in the other thread Rogan, when payday comes, I'll be sure to donate...^.^ Edit: What happens if everyone donates £15? Its going to get very hairy with some people asking for one thing then another asking for some...Really, I think that the people who donate should get priority places and get the small admin rights etc. change map, kick hackers and so forth.. How about making it so you have to donate say like 30 for higher rights? and 15 for the low rights?.. This is only because I don't want to see the server degrade into a small blackhole.. Edit2: Just read Rogans next post...
nice one Rogan. i'll donate a bit to help with running costs. is it possible to get this up and running before this weekend? so the Aria rematch can be hold on a 64 player server? or before next weekend, since i just remembered Aria bought a server for rematch, so at least play on theirs for one game.
Oh cool, that's ok then. I thought it was a bit of a stretch trying to get this before the 20th tbh. As to how much it's better if everyone gets a equal vote. That way no one feels like they're getting steamrolled in decisions, which sucks for everyone really. It's a bit of a brave new world tbh, but let's see how it goes. Almost up to a months worth now. nchhabs do you want to do the setup? I think wyx is fed up of it all now. I can do it but bf servers aren't really my bag.
I could attempt to - Wyx is a bit more knowledgeable than I am though about the whole process; perhaps with some guidance I could sort it out.
I love you guys, not fed up. just want to have some alone time with massive single player games backlog and some going out, rather than BF3 every night. I'd happy to lend a hand, and with Procon server layer hosting person's permission, give you access to that remote machine.
Awesome! Re: life/game balance, I know how you feel - got loads of uni work on atm and my BF3 addiction gets in the way sometimes, haha
I would just like to add that I would donate but right now I am flat broke. Unemployment means I can't really contribute. I know I am a reg on the server. I may make a contribution in the future just not sure as to when!
I'm in the same boat as Dom, would love to give but 4 months of unemployment have crippled me and time not spent at ungodly hours in BF3 is spent looking for jobs and touring companies. If that should change I'll gladly throw 15 quid your way.
I'll put in £20 for the initial setup, not sure if funds will always allow for the same amount on a regular basis but we'll see how it goes. Donation via PayPal sent.
Awesome. We're in rental territory now. If another five or so put up we can hire for 3 months, which is more than enough to be going on with imo. or we could have longer with less slots.
Got to go to work but i'll be donating £15 over the weekend. £15 paid that was quick getting my name up there! I take it the name for the server will be something similar to the current server?
you've got funds would be great to have this running by 26th, the Aria vs Bit-tech could really use a large server.
