Oh and while they @ it to fix the mouse bug, they should also fix the 'won't go to sleep' and 'gets out of sleep at random' bug since the 8.1 update. Many many users have this problem.

Pffffffffft. I hoover my mouse every day and have an anti-allergy protection cover (custom made) over it and haven't had any problems with bugs. Now my bed......thats a different matter, I overheard a couple of bed bugs saying they're getting married in the spring

Noticed this jerky mouse in deus ex director cuts. Also had the problem of the computer not auto sleeping like it used to. Plus had to update graphics drivers to due games starting in 3d mode automatically.

Most annoying thing was the size of the upgrade: about 3.5 gig. Whereas the windows classic shell menu is virtually zero in comparison

Overall I found the update a waste of time

"the company is simply asking gamers to be patient and wait for a fix for the flaw"

The words gamers and patient used in the same sentence, really? I'm more inclined to believe in North Korea's Unicorn Lair than I am to believe in the existence of patient gamers.

It is that size as 8.1 is in effect more than a service pack in that it reinstalls your OS as there are a lot of changes under the bonnet of the OS, but on the flip side OSX Mavericks was around the 5Gb mark for the latest update so not sure why size is an issue with today's internet.

Randomly waking up from sleep is a windows bug? I've had the same problem in Vista and 7, always put it down to shonky motherboard drivers myself.

Microsoft released a patch for the issue:

I guess it will show up in Windows updates next week or something.

Microsoft said the cause was because:
The update applies to the following games:
