I've often warned my students about the dangers of cloud storage - it's a new market, so we're likely to see lots of closures, mergers, price gouging and dodgy dealings before the market matures.

Microsoft, though, showed their naivety in thinking that people wouldn't abuse something labelled "unlimited".

I still don't trust cloud storage. The only things I have in the cloud are non-personal and non-identifying. If I ever decide to store anything else it'll be encrypted to hell and back.

I didn't think there was much in the way of consumer protection laws when it came to contract based services, can't a company rewrite a contract anytime they like and you're either free to signup to the new contract when your existing one expires or not.

Is this dealing with changes in T&C mid contract?
