Scan 3XS Vengance Z77OC

A little bit confused here.

The Scan machine got 86% rating but was just about £100 more than the total of the components for the performance PC listed on page 26 (July 2012).

Would the Scan machine be significantly faster (assume just gaming) than the machine constructed using the performance pc parts?

Am i missing something between the performance pc choice of processor i5-3570k and the Scan processor choice i7-3770k?

You also get the labour involved constructing the machine and the peace of mind of a warranty.
