    hi guys.

I really need help. I tried everything but nothing worked with me.

The thing is that I want to remote my PC from outside my home ( not from my home network )

Remote thing works perfect in my home with my network ( with windows remote thing ) and it's dam good. I heard that when I use hamachi it works like my home network, I tried that and it didn't work.

so what I do now? I really want to remote my PC throw the laptop. DEAD need :(

Hamachi will enable you to do anything with your computer you can do over the local network, but via a secure VPN link over the internet. How you have it configured is another matter.

If your just wanting remote desktop you would be better using LogMeIn rather than Hamachi.

Sounds like you have to set up a VPN at home to connect to first, if you don't like the logmein option. Some routers can do this, then you'd use the windows vpn client, and remote desktop connection.

There may be other options out there.

On hamachi are the computers that are in the "network" you created all displayed with a green light next to them?
If they are yellow you won't be able to connect, they need to be lit up green to allow a virtual connection.

I've used hamachi for this loads of times, its very good when you get it all working :)

If the lights aren't green you will need to forward ports to the machine hosting the hamachi software on both sides. The easier way to do this is to use UPnP on your router(s) if they have the option.

Hamachi will do what you want, I share a network drive with my mum with it and can use Dameware to remote her PC as if we were on the same network.

Assuming the computer you are connecting to has a green dot/star next to it you should be ok.

If you are trying to use hostnames to connect to your computer you may need to use the HOSTS file and set them with the Hamachi IP.

    It's green and looks okay.

but when I tried it outside. I get this error window and remote desktop stop with that error.

but in my home with same user and pc name i don't get that error window so i don't know what is wrong.

also port forward is done ;)

Try using the IP listed next to SAIF-PC in the Hamachi window instead of a hostname, should start with a 5.

Double click on SAIF-PC in the Hamachi Window, do you get replies to the PING requests?

In preferences there is a security tab, which has a couple of options to block users and windows services, try unblocking these to test if it works.
Also ensure that hamachi is in your allowed list in your windows firewall if you have it enabled.

Sounds like a firewall issue then.
If you go into your windows firewall you can disable it for the hamachi network connection, try doing this and test again.

in xp goto... start > control panel > windows firewall > advanced > then unselect Hamachi

in vista goto... start > control panel > windows security center > click windows firewall from the list on the left > change settings > advanced unselect Hamachi

It is recommended that you leave the firewall enabled for all other devices and usually hamachi its self, but this should help find where your problem lies.

EDIT: another thing to try which has worked for others whom had issues seeing other machines is to set the hamachi network device as the first in the network list so it has priority.
    you can do this by....

xp... start > control panel > network connections > advanced @ the top> advanced settings > then ensure hamachi is at the top of the list in the connections box.

vista... start > control panel > network and sharing center > manage network connections (on the left) > advanced @ the top> advanced settings > then ensure hamachi is at the top of the list in the connections box.
