RAM INSTALLING PROBLEM

    I tried to install a 4Gb (one Ram Stick) ram DDR2 on my motherbooard on the blue slot...on the black slots were inserted the 1GB ram (1+1) when i inserted the 4GB ram the computer started to make a beep noise ... one longer beep and one short beep... i tried to insert the ram on the different slots but the result the same...WHY????

    Your motherboard most likely doesn't support 4GB modules.

    Also, there's no point asking for help a minute after the first post.

    Hi also it might help with the make and version of motherboard and the ram your trying to use
