so i recently started getting alot of 720p/1080p videos. right now i have a 17" lcd monitor, and am considering getting a 21.5"/1920x1080 monitor (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236051&Tpk=VH226H). now, i just want the best picture i can get (for around $200). i've heard that a smaller monitor is sometimes better, so i'm not really sure and am somewhat skeptical of getting a new monitor, because the main reason i want one is for the video watching (720p more so than 1080p). i also do some internet browsing and watch xvid releases too, and some pretty light gaming.

    thoughts/suggestions?

dell's new 24" 1080p monitor looks pretty damn nice. it's a little above your budget, but at 21.5" you aren't going to notice much of a difference between 720p and scene xvid unless you are <30" from the screen.

What are these major problems? I am also considering the Dell and from what I have read, it is rock solid. Cnet.com rated it as a 4/5 star and an Editor's Choice.

the dell is perfectly fine for most uses. the NEC is a professional grade monitor, it will have a slightly more accurate color palette and stuff, but unless you are using it for professional graphic design work or something like that, the dell will be more than adequate.
