    hi guys
well ive finally decided to go back to watercooling...
but not sure on pipe size.....
i have run previously 1/2"id pipe.....and i have also tried 8mm id pipe......
which is my best way to go out of the two...

Doesnt make any difference to cooling.

I like using 3/8 it's a bit easier to work with plus it can be warmed up and put on a 1/2 inch barb with out any ties and it won't come off..ever

when i used the 8mm id pipe i used 10mm push fittings so they were easy to fix.....
i was worried what will be best for cooling thou

hose size primarily effects flow, and cooling efficiency drops off steeply after you reach only a few gallons per hour of flow. that can easily be reached with 3/8" tubing. so like alex said, theres really no difference in cooling performance.

With a smaller tube can't you just increase the flow rate? Or do the pump's not have that ability?

it depends on the pump. if it doesnt develop the pressure needed to push the volume through the smaller diameter then you will see a drop in flow. but you would be talking about a really weak pump in this case.

most modern pumps make more than enough pressure to cool effectively using 3/8" hose.

it will do just fine. that pump develops 15 feet of head pressure. more than enough to get the job done.
